A reaction
There are lots of L.A. Wilson’s point of view that coincides to my perceptions also to the society. There are no doubts that many of us can see and agree to his clear examples stated in his text like people for today are giving no proper acknowledgement to a person doing such a good deed for them. A simple “thank you” can be heartwarming words for them, but we even do not say such words. I don’t know. Maybe, we simply forget to say so, or we just don’t have a good foundation of manners.
Truly, we can’t put the blame to the youths for not being a properly raised individual (it refers to manners and good conducts). They actually try to imitate almost everything what they see and they don’t hesitate to absorb things in their young minds as part of their growth. At first, chances are, they don’t know immediately what is wrong or right. Obviously, they do need a guide. Rea;;y I don’t know if who lacks effort, is it the parent or the child?
We, as older, and as a more mature beings, we should serve as the best model we can be to show to the younger ones. It might be the key for them to grow up to what we see is right. It might be also hard for us, but it is the least thing we can to start a change in the community.
I strongly agree to L.A. Wilson, that manners are tool to remind us of others around us. It is like a mirror that if what we act, there is the same corresponding motion reflected back to us. We are connected to each one another. This connection refers to the effect of what we act.
I humbly say that L.A. Wilson’s, No One Stops to Say “Thank You” Anymore made me to think twice that things now are not the same. It made me realize that an act should be started to prevent the society to become a society of people who think of themselves. Lastly, it moved me.
